Hi I'm Meghan

I'm a Mormon. I was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. I'm a mother of 4 children.

About Me

I am happily married and a mother of 4, doing my best to raise my children well. We like to go to plays as a family. I am learning the ins and outs of writing. I am currently experimenting with fairy tales. I like to run...or rather, I like how I feel after I run. I have backyard chickens.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when I was 8 years old. My dad baptized me. As I have grown up and my father has recently passed away, I appreciate more fully what it means to have the knowledge of what happens after death. The sting of death is so incredibly sharp and real. It would be unbearable to me if I didn't believe, not just believe but feel powerfully in my heart, that I will be reunited with ALL my loved ones, not just in death, but in perfect, tangible, resurrected form. I'm so grateful for the atonement of Jesus Christ that makes this possible, that gives my hope and faith substance.

How I live my faith

I recognize I am imperfect yet that there is good in everyone. I try each day to rely on the Savior as I seek to improve, little by little. I strive to help others in need and especially to teach my children to see the good in others around them. I endeavor to help my children see the need for morals and values and hard work, and faith in Christ. I especially want them to believe that God is aware of them and loves them deeply. I look for the wonderful things I can learn from others, and in turn, I hope others will be inspired to acquire added peace and strength that I am fortunate to have because of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Meghan
My belief that there are prophets today brings me joy because it makes sense to me in my mind and in my heart. In my heart I know God is just as invested in the happenings in the world today and in the well being of His children as He was in days of old. In my mind, the belief that God is an unchanging God is reconciled with the discrepancy that WOULD exist if there were no living prophet. In my heart, I know that we are in just as great a need of direction and revelation from God in these troubling times as in days past. I am thankfkul for the scriptures which contain the vital words of God from prophets of old, and for living prophets who are the mouthpiece for the continued word of God today. My life is a blessed and happier life when I strive to learn and follow the teachings of the prophets. Prophets of God, past and present, show us the way to safety and lasting happiness. Prophets are proof of God's boundless love for ALL of his children. Show more Show less
