Hi I'm Uraiwan

I grew up in Thailand. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother and a grandmother. After my youngest started school, I went back to college and obtained an MA in Education. Now I am a substitute teacher so I can still do things with my family at our convenience. I love to travel and enjoy trying new things.

Why I am a Mormon

At first I had no desire to have anything to do with the Mormon church. I was perfectly happy with my old church and was under the impression that the Missionaries who taught me couldn't have really understood whatever they were teaching because they were still young and inexperienced. But I followed their challenge to read the Book of Mormon and ponder and pray for the personal answer and testimony of the book and the church. I read with an open mind and received the witness that no man on earth could have written this book, and that it is the work of inspiration from God. I continued to find out about the teachings and practices within the church, and made sure to get the information straight from the Missionaries and not from other sources. I found that Jesus Christ is the head of the church and Mormons truly follow and live according to His teachings. I have never regretted my decision to become a Mormon. It has given me more meaning and purpose in my life. It has also made me a much happier and better person.

How I live my faith

Being a Mormon doesn't preclude me from life's challenges and trials. But it helps me to have more patience, faith, and hope in everything I have to go through, both good and bad. I try to follow the teaching of Jesus Christ and keep the commandments. Prayer is also important to me, as this is how I feel I can get closer to God and Jesus, so I can develop a good relationship with them. And just as Jesus taught, I try to show love to others by doing service and lending a hand whenever I can, whether in my family or within my community. I believe that by loving and serving others all of us can be blessed and we will be much happier.
