Hi I'm Michelle

I have six kids. I run two businesses out of my home. I have a great collection of pictures of Jesus Christ.

About Me

Hi I am a crazy mom of Six. I graduated from BYU in Education and instead of working outside of the home I decided to be a teacher in my own home. Now that my kids are gone at school all day I decided to use my talents and I opened up my own preschool in my home. Now I can work when my kids are gone and be home when they need me. My kids are ballroom dancers so it gets pretty expensive so my in home business helps me feel like I am contributing. I get up at 4:45 on the weekdays and teach a scripture class to a group of teenagers. This year we are learning about the Old Testiment. It is so wonderful to learn about Christ and be able to share my testimony with kids. Todays world is so crazy and there are so many differant roads for kids to take. It's nice to be a part of helping them decided God's path. I collect pictures of Christ. When people enter my home it sort of looks like an out of control art gallery. I just love to look at his picture and I love to fill my home with reminders of Jesus Christ. I also landscape people's yard in the summer. I love to look at plants and play in the dirt. It is veyr spiritual for me to see the earth and all it's beauty. It also helps keep me in shape!!! I also love to travel. My family and I lived in Australia for two years and got to see lots of differant places. This world is so amazing and the differant cultures and people are so fun to see and get to know. I am a mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was a year old my parents moved beside a Mormon family. They became friends and invited my parents to dinner one night when the missionaries were over. My parents took the missionary discussions and my mom wanted to be baptized. My dad had a hard time accepting the Joseph Smith story and wasn't sure he wanted to be baptized. The missionaries asked him to pray one more time about the church and when he knelt down alone in his bedroom he said he had an awesome spiritual feeling that the church was true and he accepted the Gospel of Jesus Christ and was baptized. I was raised in a little town with not many LDS people. It was hard being a teen and not going to the parties and having the repetition of being the "goody goody". However, now that I look back on my experiences of standing up for what my standards are and having to really live the life. I am so gald for my trials because they really made me realize what having a true testimony of Jesus Christ is. My friends all now really respect me and look up to me. I haven't had to go through really tough times like a lot of my friends because of the standards of remaining morally clean and keeping the word of wisdom. It is such a blessing to have guidance to keep your life in harmony with Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I work with the youth in our ward as a seminary teacher. I get up at 4:45 each weekday morning and teach teens about Jesus christ. It is the most rewarding calling in our church I have ever had. Also the most time consuming. I was just elected to be on the board of our neighborhood. It is fun to work with my neighbors to make our neighborhood a better place to live. I am involved right now in trying to get our school district boundaries moved. Our neighborhood is right next to two schools and as of next year they want to bus our kids 90 minutes away to another school. I am fighting hard to make sure this doesn't happen. I have been doing a big petition and speaking to school boards to try and make the boundary change. It will take a lot of work but our kids are worth it. I also run my own preschool where I try and teach the kids how to be smart and respectful kids --making hopefully smart and respectful adults.
