Hi I'm Lisa

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Arizona. I'm a wife and stay-at-home mom of two kids.

About Me

I was raised in Arionza and I definitely love warmer weather! I went to college to become a high school math teacher, but I'm a stay-at-home mom now. I'm married and have two children who keep me busy. Family is my life and it's great. I like to run, sing, play the piano, camp and hike.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church. During my teenage years, I naturally wanted to know for myself if the church was true. I did a lot of praying and reading the scriptures, and I came to feel in my heart and my mind that this church is true. Over the years as I have lived the teachings of the church, I have recognized many blessings that have come to me and my family. This is a testimony to me that this church is true. This knowledge gives me a feeling of purpose and direction in my life. I have a sense of who I am and why I'm here on earth. Of course l still have struggles, disappointments, and challenges, but I feel like being a member of this church helps me to get through those rough times.

How I live my faith

I look forward to going to church each Sunday - it's definitely the highlight of my week. After we meet together as a congregation, I play the piano for the primary kids. They sing a lot of songs; some are spiritual and some are just to have fun. I'm also a visiting teacher. This means at least once a month I go and visit some other women in our church. It's basically just a way for us to look out for each other and to help each other.
