Hi I'm Mallory

I'm an optimist, a nursing student, and currently serving a full time mission in Nicaragua!

About Me

Hi I'm Mallory! I am a BYU Idaho student studying nursing who loves to learn, exercise, and spend time with my friends & family. I am serving a full time mission in Nicaragua until February 2018. I love being happy, and getting to know new people. In June 2011, I had surgery to fix severe scoliosis, so I try to live my life as normally as possible while having two rods and eighteen screws permanently in my back. I have lived in Colorado my entire life and have always loved the outdoors and the weather here! I am the middle of three kids. I love having a good time, no matter where I am or who I'm with!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it helps me see the bigger picture and it just brings me so much happiness. I see people around me everyday who lack so much faith, hope, and understanding. Being a Mormon, I'm so lucky to have all of this whenever I need it! When times get hard, there is always a way to help me get through it. I can so easily pray to my Heavenly Father for help, search the scriptures for righteous examples and inspiration, turn to my parents and leaders for advice, and know that Heavenly Father really does have a plan for me. Because of the church, my questions can always be answered. I don't have to wonder about what may be up ahead because I've developed faith and hope that there are always good things to come. Because I'm a Mormon, I understand the divine purpose of my life! It has brought me so much joy to know that I can be with my family forever and return to live with my Heavenly Father. It helps me to not worry about the little problems I face in my life, because I know that everything will work out.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by example. I try to live my life with such a positive attitude that it inspires others to live with a similar outlook! I try to be the best example I can to everyone around me, regardless of their beliefs or standards. I want to set an example so it will be easier to introduce people to the church or answer their questions if they are interested in learning more. I love the opportunities I get to tell and show people how fun it is to be a member of the church, and how much it benefits me as a person. I am currently serving as a missionary in Managua, Nicaragua. For 18 months, my life is completely dedicated to the Lord. My purpose is to invite others to come unto Christ, and share the happiness that comes from living the gospel. I hope I will be able to spread some joy!
