Hi I'm Joseph

I'm a husband, banker, and wanna be basketball player and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I’m married to an awesome girl of 6 years and we have ZERO children. I was born and raised in North Denver before it became the “Highlands.” I spent two years in So Cal to serve my mission which changed my life. I returned and graduated from Metro State College and received an MBA from Regis University. I work in the banking industry doing commercial lending. I have met some awesome people and sincerely do my best to help them achieve their personal & financial goals.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents separated and had a nasty divorce while I was in high school. It was drugs and alcohol that ruined the family. It was a very tough and sad time in my family's life. However, it led me to ask some crucial questions that would eventually change my life. The questions were: 1. Who am I? 2. Where did I come from? 3. Why am I here? 4. Where am I going? I never prayed and read so much in my life. I made a challenge to myself that if I read the scriptures and received an answer to my prayer that I would change and live my life in accordance with the gospel of Jesus Christ. With the help of missionaries from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in my area, I received answers to my prayers. 1. I am a child of God and he knows and cares about me! 2. I came from a loving God who wants me to be happy! 3. I am here to learn and grow and to find joy in serving those around me! 4. I have the ability, through Jesus Christ, to return to live with my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, and those I love! Looking back on those days in high school, I never thought that life could be so wonderful or that I could be living such a blessed and happy life. I know that Heavenly Father loves me and wants me to be happy. I will continue to strive to live the gospel because I know the difference it has made in my life!

How I live my faith

Serving others, whether in the community, at home or at church, it’s a way of life. In the community I have volunteered with youth mentoring programs, building homes, serving on boards of non-profit organizations and helping with small business classes. The great thing about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is that there is no paid clergy. We all volunteer our time to service in the church and community. One of the things that I get to do is assist families or individuals in my congregation. Each month a few select families expect me to visit their home and share a brief message and see if there is anything that I can do to make their life easier. That may mean helping them move, bringing dinner, or discussing finances. I am on-call 24/7 and they know it’s never too late for a call. My family also has someone that I can call when I need any help.
