Hi I'm Levi

I love baseball. I enjoy ethnic cuisine. I'm a family man. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm married to a wonderful woman and we have two beautiful daughters. They bring so much joy into my life. They keep me grounded and ensure that I have my priorities straight. I'm currently in MBA school and hands down, the best part of my day is when I come home and am greeted by four little hands stretched out to have me pick them up and hold them. That's when I'm reminded about what's really important in life. As early as I can remember I have loved sports. I enjoy both watching and playing them - baseball in particular - and one of the highlights of my life was when I made a trip to the farm where "Field of Dreams" was filmed. Iowa really *is* heaven. I enjoy reading, although I'm not able to do as much of it as I would like during graduate school. However, I am able to enjoy storytime with my daughters almost on a daily basis. While not too intellectually stimulating, that reading is some of the most rewarding reading that I do.

Why I am a Mormon

It would be easy to say that I'm a Mormon because my parents are Mormons and that's the way I was raised. While my parents have had a profound impact on my life, and I'm forever grateful for them, I have found for myself that true, lasting happiness can only be found in the gospel of Jesus Christ. I spent part of my teenage years making many poor choices that hurt myself and many of the people around me. Things didn't change for me until I was living on my own and ran out of money. I was feeling sorry for myself one day when I turned on the television and found General Conference (a semi-annual meeting of Mormons broadcast throughout the world). I felt that the messages delivered throughout that weekend were just for me. It was everything that I needed to hear and probably what people were already trying to tell me. I just wasn't humble enough before to listen. This experience led me to make significant changes in my life that have allowed me to get to where I am today. I know that God has prophets and apostles on the Earth today, just as in ancient times. He has called them to lead His church because he loves each of us. I know that he wants us to be happy, and that we're happiest when we're knowingly following his commandments. I believe in the Bible. I love to read about the ministry of the Savior and learn from his perfect example. I also believe in the Book of Mormon and know that it is true. It's sole purpose is to testify of Jesus Christ and to witness that God has indeed spoken to man in our time. I have felt the Holy Spirit confirm to me its truth as I have read, studied, and prayed about it.

How I live my faith

I try hard to live my faith through being consistent. I want my children to grow up knowing that there isn't a difference between what Dad says and what Dad does. I attend Sunday worship services each week so that I can take the sacrament and strengthen those around me. I also try to work on my weaknesses and come closer to the Savior every day.
