Hi I'm Heydi!!

I love sunshine, I'm from Arizona, and I'm a missionary in the Salt Lake City East Mission!

About Me

I was born in to a Hispanic family in Arizona. I grew up in the small town of Queen Creek. This is where my family was destined to be in order to receive the gospel of Jesus Christ. My family and I were converted to the gospel of Jesus Christ when I was 9 years old. The change that occurred in my family is the biggest testimony that I have! I attended Brigham Young University for a year before my mission and absolutely loved it! I love spending time with my family and friends and allowing the love of our Creator to guide us down the path of happiness. I love to play sports (even though I suck), to go shopping, and best of all to share the gospel of Jesus Christ. It's pretty much the best thing ever! :) I love Jesus! :)

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon simply because it brings me joy. I have never seen a miracle. I have never seen a vision or the Savior, but my faith is all I need. Being a Latter Day Saint is hard. Everyone thinks we're forced into obedience, but we're not. I obey because I enjoy to. I live the standards because my heart tells me I'm doing the right thing. I am also a convert. Ever since I was little I knew about the church. The sister missionaries visited us regularly, but we never accepted their invitations to church. All of the people surrounding me poisoned my opinion of "the Mormons." Eventually we met two young men in suits. They are and forever will be my heroes. They convinced us to go, and so we did. Since that Sunday 12 years ago, I have never strayed. Everyday my faith is strengthened and I receive more and more blessings, and testaments of the gospel's truth. Growing up, I realized that the blessing bestowed upon me by my Heavenly Father, of having the gospel in my life was more than I could ever ask for. The amazing friends I have and life I love to lead is all thanks to my faith. Now thanks to those two young missionaries I am able to spread the happiness this gospel brings to others, just like they did for me. Bringing others the happiness that was brought to me, is only a small thing I can do to feel worthy of this amazing blessing.

How I live my faith

All I feel that I can do to live my faith is to be an example. I try to always be the best I can. It is not easy, but my faith allows me to repent and keep gaining spiritual insight. I feel like I am prepared to change and help others change. I love sharing this life-changing message. Leaders and missionaries have helped me get through the obstacles in my life, and I hope I am doing the same.
