Hi I'm Stacey

I'm an Aussie. I love family, friends, food, fun and football. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Brisbane, Australia and love being an Aussie! I’ve been married almost 7 years to my best friend, Darren. He's a talented animator and artist and his strengths balance out my weaknesses :) We spent 3.5 years living in London and travelling Europe. I love travelling and meeting people from around the world with different insights into life. I’m one of 7 kids, and loved growing up in a big family. I love everything about food and will be studying a diploma in nutrition shortly. I’m really interested in the link between diet and disease and healing and reversing illnesses through foods and nature. I love football (soccer), tennis, volleyball and playing most sports! My ultimate dream was always to be a professional sports player (in whatever sport I was playing at the time!) Music has a huge impact on me and I feel happier when there’s music in the home!

Why I am a Mormon

As a young girl every Sunday at church I would feel this overwhelming feeling inside of me, motivating me to do better, and telling me that what I was hearing was true. As I grew up these feelings stayed with me whenever I made good decisions in my life and followed the teachings of the gospel. I know that God is real. That he loves everyone and knows us all. I know that Jesus Christ is our Saviour. That he came to this Earth and lived a perfect life. That he died for all of our sins and has suffered all. I know that this life has a purpose. I love knowing where I came from and where I am heading. I know that life continues after death. That our loved ones are there. I know that families can be together forever. That I will be married to my husband forever. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints is Christ’s church, the same church he set up while he was on the Earth. I know that he is at the head of his church and guides and directs us through a living prophet on the Earth today, President Thomas S Monson. This knowledge is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I try and live my faith in everything that I do. One of the most important ways that I live my faith is by trying to become more like our Saviour. Trying to develop qualities within myself that help me to be a better person. To do more good in the world. Be more compassionate and understanding. Less judgmental. More kind and loving. I love that our church constantly teaches the ‘doing’ part and how we can apply everything to our own lives – because it’s one thing to know, and then another to go and do. I hope to keep trying to go and do!
