Hi I'm Jen

I'm a wife, a mother, a teacher. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife, a mother and a preschool teacher. I have three handsome boys and a wonderful husband. My boys(including my husband) keep me on my toes. I spend my free time creating preschool projects and couponing. I am addicted to getting good deals. I enjoy reading, watching movies and doing craft projects. I enjoy the lovely things of life. Whether it is a amazing sunset or a picture colored by my four year old. I love the beauty and colors of this world. But mostly I love spending time with my men.

Why I am a Mormon

I can not imagine my life with out the gospel of Jesus Christ. I did not grow up in the "typical" mormon family. My mother was a member of the church but my father was not. Going to church was an option not a requirement. I loved going to primary (church class for children 3- 12 years old) . The foundation of my faith grew with each lesson and each simple Primary song. When I was a kid the church was my scantuary when life got too hard. As a teenager I watched my friends and even my siblings loss control of their lives because of the choices they were making. My church leaders help guide me through. I knew my life was much easier because I was blessed to know the commandments of our Heavenly Father. As an adult my testimony of Jesus Christ continues to grow as I feel His love for me through each trial and heartache. He has lifted me up and shown me the way so many times. I know that He lives and I know that He loves me. He knows me and my needs. I know I would be lost with out His guidence.

How I live my faith

I have a degree in teaching from ASU and I loved being in the class room. When my husband and I married one of our firm goals was for me to stay home with our children. When I had my sweet son I know that being at home was the best thing for him. The first year of being home was an adjustment. I felt a little stir crazy. After my second son was born I still felt torn. I missed teaching. I noticed a lots of kids in the neighboorhood who needed a preschool option. I started teaching preschool as a fun hobby for just 6 sweet kids. I created my own curriculum and was pleased to see how well it worked. My second year of teaching I had 10 students. My third I had 18 students. I was pleased to see that I can teach and be a stay at home mom. My husband has a degree in Construction Managment and the construction business started to spiril down. With lay offs and cut backs my husband lost his job 4 times in the space of two years. Each time we would pray for guidence and we were told that the home was where I should be. My hobby soon became my families only source of income. Dispite having very little money we never lacked. We were blessed with great friends and caring neighbors. We have seen many little miracles. My husband is working now. Our family has been strengthened and humbled in so many ways. Heavenly Father has taken care of us and He will continue to watch over us. Now not only do I get to teach in preschool but I get to teach primary (church class for children 3-12 years old). I love working in primary. Primary was such an important part of my life when I was a child and now I am able to help the children in my neighborhood learn the principles and truths of the gospel. I am blessed to work with children every day. I see the things of this world, the heartaches and confusion but I am not afraid for the future. Our children are amazing. I am greatly blessed that through teaching them I can also learn. Life is perfect.
