Hi I'm Jk

I write music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm Jk, I love good friends and strong families. I have a passion for music, and I have respect for people who create new things. I don't like going with the flow, because our Heavenly Father made each of us different. I want to grasp those differences He made in me and make something out of them. That's what makes me me, and I want to be unique. I love learning and reading. I love the fact that no matter how smart you are, or how smart you think you are, there is always someone smarter. You can always learn more. And that's what being a Mormon is always about. I believe in Eternal Progression, and I believe that I am to be held accountable if I do not take the opportunities and blessings I am given in my life today.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I love the respect I am given as a member of the church. We believe everyone is a child of our Heavenly Father and deserves the same respect and opportunities as anyone else. I love studying the Gospel and I find that although I was born into the church, I'm always growing as a member and as a Son of God. I choose to live by the Gospel of Jesus Christ because I have an unwaivering testimony of His reality. I choose to follow Christ because I know that it is only by Him that we can be saved.

How I live my faith

I am a firm believer in constant improvement. I feel that if I haven't done something each day to improve myself or another, it is a day wasted. I strive to be a good example to those I come in contact with in action and in word. I speak modestly, and try to avoid negative things. I feel that everything around me points to a Heavenly Father that watches over and loves us, and I always strive to live in thanks for all He has given me. I find that when I'm down, and when the trials come in my life, I can only turn to my Savior Jesus Christ. He is the only one who can understand every one of God's children, and He will strengthen us if we turn to Him. I find the deepest and longest-lasting joy in using the gifts that I've been given, and working diligently at them. Music is my escape, and when I trip over the stumbling blocks of life, I write.
