Hi I'm Jobeth

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Avid history fan, genealogist, crafter. Married 40 years. Our life includes dogs, cats & birds, family and friends. Reading as many books and stories as I can get my hands on.

Why I am a Mormon

Because when I heard the story of the church, I knew at 16 that it was true. Married a member and shortly thereafter we became non active, for 21 years we didn't come back. We still believed but couldn't bring ourselves to forgive some elses meaness to us. Then in 1996 small miracles began to happen in our lives along with great sadness. The only people who were there to help were other active duty military like us and were also LDS. It didn't take long for the Spirit of the Lord to help our hearts to heal and our souls to dance with joy again. We have been active ever since.

How I live my faith

For me it's a matter of remembering to "be still and know that I Am". To let the Spirit in, to be able to listen and to trust what it tells you. That doesn't happen over night. So many times I am overwhelmed, stressed out, and franctic. Asking for help finding none, when I finally exhaust myself and and let my mind rest, the answers, the promptings come. Some with fanfare most with ideas or whispers in my mind. Even after all this time it's still amazing to me and I still have to go through all the angst before allowing my mind and body to still and know that he is Lord and always there. Learn to listen, people just want to know someone is there, someone is listening.
