Hi I'm Kiersten

I was born in Utah. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

As a child, I was born into an inactive LDS home. Until I was twelve years of age, I didn't worry about God, and I had no interest in learning. I believed in God and Jesus Christ, but I had no interest in being an active church member. Through some of life's experiences, and experiencing some of my own dark times, I came to find peace in the gospel of Jesus Christ. Peace abounds and my major joy in this life is the knowledge of Jesus Christ. Some side joys of mine are drawing, scouting, and preparing to serve a mission in the near future. I belong now to a forever family and have been sealed in the temple to my mother, father, twin brother, and my two younger brothers.

Why I am a Mormon

I lived my life at a young age without the influence of God or His spirit. I've experienced the loneliness and struggle of living without God. I've come to feel of His love, and that of His Son's love. All the principles of the gospel are familiar to me and have a familiar ring, almost as if I knew it before this life. The gospel fills the empty gaps in my life and makes life make sense, not to mention mean something.

How I live my faith

I am currently the first assistant to the bishop in the Aaronic Priesthood. I assist my bishop in reaching out to assist the lives of the young men (including myself) of my ward. The bishop is the president of my quorum, and I lead in his absence. I plan activities with the young men and help them learn skills they will need in life and teach them principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ. In doing so, I am a scout in the Venturing program and am the president of my crew. We use camps and other scouting activities to help teach the gospel of Christ.
