Hi I'm Sharlyn

I'm Happy to be Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in the little, Podunk town, Brush Colorado. I was 1 of 5 LDS students in my school. I enjoyed every minute of it. It helped shape the testimony I have today. I love to write, paint, draw, play Nintendo, baseball and read. I love spending time with my family and friends. I just returned home from Alaska where I served my mission!

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints my entire life. I gained a testimony of the church when I was young by watching the example of my mother. She has always been a shining light in my life. She taught me how to be strong and faithful even when times are rough. I love this gospel. I love all the many things we gain just by living and staying faithful to the Lord. He gives us so much more then we deserve because He loves us.I have felt his love in my life and I know he knows who am I. I know that Joseph Smith truly saw Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and I am so very thankful that he never doubted what he saw because I would be very lost without this church in my life. I know the Book of Mormon is true. I have read it many times and will continue to read it throughout my life. I love the guidance it brings in my life . I have since the power and spirit it brings into my life as I read it day by day. It is God's word to us. I know that Thomas S. Monson is a true prophet of God. He was called just like the prophets of old and all the prophets since the Restoration. I know the Lord speaks through him. I know that I am going to stay active in His church until the day I die because I Know without a doubt that this is the only true church and His way is the only way to be truly happy here and in the life to come.

How I live my faith

I am living my faith right now by being a shining example. I try my best to be a good servant of the Lord by being Christlike and helping others along the way. I served the Lord In the Alaska Anchorage Mission. I was able to meet people everyday and share the gospel and my testimony. I got the privilege to see people's desires and lives change as they accept the gospel of Jesus Christ. I loved seeing the miracles that occur in their lives and I loved seeing my testimony grow as well. I am excited to be home now where I can still share the good news and still experience miracles!
