Hi I'm Lynn

I would rather play dinosaurs with a two-year old grandchild than almost anything else. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the mother of six biological children and two imported from India. I promote the family as the fundamental unit of society in public policy at the local, national and international level, including at the United Nations. I would rather be a grandma to my three grandchildren than anything else--all of the fun and none of the responsibility!

Why I am a Mormon

My roots in the church go back to April 6th, 1830, the day the church was organized, when my fourth great-grandfather, Orrin Porter Rockwell, was baptized. The gospel of Jesus Christ provides an anchor to my soul. It is a constant in this uncertain world and the foundation upon which all else rests.

How I live my faith

I was given some advice many years ago that I have tried to make the hallmark of my life. It was only four syllables, but it has become a mantra of sorts. "Serve your guts out." So that's what I try to do. Whether it's a responsibility in the ward, or a friend in need, rendering service never fails to lighten my own burdens.
