Hi I'm Melissa

I am a wife and mother. I am happy. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Colorado, grew up in Georgia, and now live in Arizona. I have been married for 6 years and I am a stay-at-home mom to two sweet, energetic little girls and another baby is on the way! I am blessed to be able to stay home and take care of our children. It's the greatest learning opportunity I've ever been given. Not only am I teaching our children how to behave, be caring, kind, and to be like Jesus, but I'm also learning patience, love, and humility. I love my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe in the gospel that has been restored through the Prophet Joseph Smith. I have known that The Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day saints is the true church since I was a little girl, but I continue to learn and strengthen my testimony in Jesus Christ and his plan for me every day. Heavenly Father wants for us to learn and grow and I think that's an important part of my testimony. I am grateful that we have a wonderful prophet and apostles today that continue to give us guidance. I know that Heavenly Father wants us to succeed and be happy. He has given us all the tools we need to live our lives in a way that we can return to live with Him someday. Some of those tools are the scriptures, our prophets and other leaders, those around us, and the Holy Ghost. I know Heavenly Father loves me, my children, and those around me. What an amazing knowledge!

How I live my faith

I live my faith every day as I try to teach my children about Jesus Christ. We pray, sing songs, and talk of Christ, the Bible, and Book of Mormon throughout the day. My faith and beliefs aren't something I do only on Sunday. How I act and the things I do are largely centered on what Jesus Christ would want me to do. It's something that I want my children know. I want them to know that we serve others because Christ served those around him and continues to bless us today. I try to make it a part of my every day life.
