Hi I'm Ida

The first LDS church I attended was a small house in Vernonia, Oregon. I am a mother, grandmother and a very happy Mormon.

About Me

I have owned my own Dunkin' Donut business and worked in sales for Nordstrom. I love to plan events from home parties to dinners for over 300people. My home and family is most important to me. I have grandchildren which is the sweetest part of having a family. I love music and play the organ and piano.

Why I am a Mormon

I am from a large family. I have seen the gospel accepted by some of my family and not by others. There is a difference. It's easy to compare and tell who is happier. I have made this observation since I was a young girl. I have read the scriptures faithfully and feel a peace when I do. I have a personal relationship with my Father in Heaven. I have had so many experiences that have let me know my prayers are heard. He is always in my thoughts. He knows me. He has given me the privelege to be born under circumstances where I would be taught the gospel of Jesus Christ. I have gained a personal testimony of it's teachings and know for myself those teachings bring peace and happiness to my life. I am trying my best to live the teachings of Jesus Christ. I do fall short. I ask forgiveness and strength to do better. It is the desire of my heart to someday enter the temple with all my children.

How I live my faith

I plan many events for our Stake. I am also a Visiting Teacher and love the sisters I visit. I have been a Ward organist since I was 15 years old. The hymns are a great strength to me.
