Hi I'm Elizabeth

I was born in Japan, I'm an American. I was raised in Kansas and joined the Military and medical field like my dad. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

As long as I can remember, I've wanted to be a nurse. That dream came true for me eight and a half years ago. I love working with people, taking care of them and helping them to feel better if I can. I'm also a mother of two teenagers who are the light of my life. I have the most loving and kindest spouse in the world, who is also my best friend. We both love to golf and fish together. I also enjoy reading, singing, outdoors, and animals.

Why I am a Mormon

Ever since I was a little girl, I've been looking for the "right" church. I've tried many different ones but have never really felt that "I'm home" feeling. I've always believed in Christ and knew Him to be my savior, but as for the rest, I was very confused. I would go to the churches that would only teach straight from the scriptures so I would at leats have an idea of what they were teaching about. My husband was asked by his mom to go back to the Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints after we moved close to her. We began to go as a family with our two children. Our two children took to the church and its teachings immeadiately and began to talk with the missionarries while I sat in and listened to the classes with them. I was reading the Book Of Mormon at the same time and began to realize that it all was making sence tome, and it's true without a doubt! I was baptized a year after our children were. This is a church that I finally could call home, it was as if I had come full circle from my youth. It was what I'd been searching for all those years. Everything I've ever believed in is in this church and more. All of the gospel principles, the values that we hold are not of this "worldly thinking". To be virtuous, to be faithful, clean, holey, pure before mariage. The plan of salvation where we all have a choice to live with our Heavenly father again by Christ's attoning sacrifice as long as we try to be as worthy as possible. We will also be reunited with our families again. Our little sacrafices of giving up things for huge blessings is amazing to me. We have a living profit on this earth today with whom Heavenly Father speaks and brings us His love and messages. Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God and I do believe that he translated the Book of Mormon with God's help. I know the Book of Mormon to be a true testiment of our ansestors and an addition of God's word/bible. I know this church is true with all of it's teachings. In Jesus name, Amen

How I live my faith

For the past 4-5 years I have been involved with the youth of the church. It has truely been a blessing to be to work with them for they have taught me so very much! I've helped with organizing activities, dinners, fundraisers, camp, checkoffs for camp, training, teaching classes to them and numerous other events with the youth. I've also helped with service projects for the church itself, and the youth. I've gone to see several members of the church to check on them to see how they are doing, also giving lessons. This church has so many ways to feel needed, to be of service, to help people. This is who I am, what I love to do!
