Hi I'm Brenda

I am a teacher, a tax preparer, and a Mac lover. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Teaching has been an important part of my life. I currently am a computer lab technician and love to work with children of all ages. As a tax preparer, I get to meet and know many wonderful "once-a-year" friends. My favorite jobs to do in church have been as a teacher. To relax, I love to spend time with family playing games...no, I won that time!...and I love to read and see movies and dance to great music.

Why I am a Mormon

I have had the privilege of being raised as a Mormon. It has brought me great comfort and peace to have always know who I am, where I come from, and where I am going. I know that my Father in Heaven loves and values me and that my Savior, Jesus Christ, is an older brother who experienced a terrible ordeal so that I would be able to return and live with God.

How I live my faith

As a lifelong Mormon, I can easily say I have held many, many callings, or jobs, in the church. My favorite have always been as a teacher. I currently work with the youth as a leader and I love the Young Women I get to work and play with. I try to live my life so as to be an example to others of the joy that can be found in this gospel.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

We all have a purpose here on Earth. I believe that purpose is, in part, to find joy in life and learn how to recognize and choose between good and evil. The process of living here gives us some of the tools we will need in order to become like Heavenly Father. This life is a test. I hope to get a good grade. Show more Show less
