Hi I'm Caitlyn

I love and support the arts, I aspire to become an architect and engineer, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

So, I'm in a lot of performances year round in drama, choir, and instrumental, but I really want to become an architect and engineer, which sometimes throws people off. I have been in fourteen musicals (fifteen if you count the one I stage managed), about five drama productions, and many, many choral and orchestral concerts. I am taking Musical Theatre at my school and am the president of the class, I am also in the Thespian Society. I play cello, piano, and a little of viola and violin. I love to draw and doodle and write. My favorite classes in school are Drafting, Musical Theatre, and Creative Writing.

Why I am a Mormon

I have a strong testimony in the church and love learning about the gospel. My faith in this church grew just last December (12, 30, 2010) when my sister encouraged me to keep a journal to write about what I was reading. So, I was reading Doctrine and Covenants 50:13-46 and the spirit just came upon me as I read these verses. In my journal, I wrote these words: "I am a little Child, I have much to learn, but I fear not because my Big Brother and my Father are good Shepherds and as long as I hold fast to the rod and follow in their footsteps, I shall never be lost and I will never fall. I know I am loved and I must share this love to all who seek or need it for they too are the Children of God and I must help them receive that knowledge."

How I live my faith

I am a laurel (girls ages 16-18) in my ward and am the president of my class. I am also the youth president of the young woman (girls ages 12-18). My dad is the ward mission leader, so I have the missionaries over at my house a lot, so my learning of the gospel grows almost daily as I discuss it with the elders. I attend early morning seminary and I LOVE it. It starts my day off perfectly and I encourage any of the youth who are not attending seminary to strive to do so, it is wonderful.
