Hi I'm Megan

I grew up in Idaho. I love life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My full-time job is being a mom. My roles range from superhero to train conductor, cowgirl, nurse, tiger, or football player--all in one day. "Pretending" is my favorite part of the day. I love to read and could stay up for hours doing so. Crocheting and sewing are two of my newer hobbies. I enjoy the outdoors with my family, especially when we go camping, fishing, and horseback riding. I like dancing and tennis, and I love to learn. I love life and I love my whole family! Right now we are going through the adoption process, and I am so excited for another special little one to enter our family and share in our love.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Mormon faith. I was always taught of Christ, but my testimony is something that I had to gain personally through experience, trials, and by exercising my faith. My family chose to raise me within this Church, but I choose to continue following Christ because of the knowledge that I have gained of Him. I have learned what it means to be close to the Savior. I know the heartache of distancing myself from Him, and I know the indescribable joy of letting Him completely into my life. I know of His love for us. I know He loves me. I can't emphasize that enough. The knowledge of His great love for me strengthens my love for Him. It gives me greater expectations for myself. It motivates me to be active in my faith, in my testimony. For me, it's not enough to just say I believe. I can almost sense the greater potential that He sees in me, and I feel driven to achieve that--to try to become a better person and to serve others, as He would.

How I live my faith

I try to see each person as the Lord sees them. Just as I know He loves me, I know he loves the individuals around me. I am trying to help those around me feel of that love. I have worked mainly with the children in my callings, and now with some of the young girls. My goal is to help them see their worth in the Lord's eyes.
