Hi I'm Ariel

I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. My family means everything to me!

About Me

I have a BS in Accounting. I love my family. I have 2 brothers and 1 sister. I am an auntie of 3 little girls and 1 little boy with one on the way! I nannied through college and have such a love for children. I love movies and TV, especially comedies. I love music, it brings me peace when my life is chaotic. My mother is my best friend. I hope to get married in the temple some day and to be sealed to my children and husband to live with them for eternity. Patience is something Heavenly Father has been teaching me for many many years, and apparently doesn't think I have enough yet ;)

Why I am a Mormon

My dad's mother was converted when he was a child and he attended church as well with her, but when my mother and him got married and started having kids they didn't attend church and fell away for a while. When we moved from one city to the other my parents started dropping us 4 kids off at church on Sunday and after a year the oldest 3 of us were baptized and our home teachers had my parents coming to church with us as well. My parents are still very active and have callings. We were sealed together as a family in the temple for eternity and I will cherish that day and the memories of it for the rest of my life. I went to Seminary while in high school and that was a great experience for me to start my day with Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father in my mind, heart and spirit. I also very much enjoyed Young Women's and it helped me to gain the testimony I have today. Girl's Camp always helped my testimony grow and when it was time for me to go to Relief Society I have felt more than I could ever imagine. Relief Society is my favorite part of church to attend, I love the women in my ward and how special each of them are and how much they influence my life. I love learning about why the Lord gave us the roles we have as Latter-Day Saints women and the difference we can make in the world. I love being LDS and it will always be a huge part of my life. I believe that this is the true church of God in these latter days. I know that Jesus is my Savior and I know of the love that Jesus Christ and God have for the people of this world. I have a strong testimony of the power of prayer and I believe that the power of the priesthood is like no other thing on this Earth. I believe so strongly in the Plan of Salvation and I know that Thomas S. Monson is the true prophet at this time. I love Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father so much. I know they give me more blessings in my life than I feel I deserve at times and am so thankful for them every day of my life.

How I live my faith

Since I have been 12 years old I have been involved in serving our community with church related service projects that are organized for the youth to be apart of. I have always loved raking leaves for the elderly, singing at the nursing homes at Christmas time and helping with making quilts that will be sent to places of disaster that don't have things they normally would. I have brought that love of helping from my youth into my adulthood with Just Serve and with my visiting teaching. It helps me to feel like I am being an extra friend or listening ear to someone that may need it, even if I don't know they do. It's apparent in the church and the members of the church how much service means, and I love that I have a constant reminder to serve others just as Jesus did while he was alive on Earth.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Ariel
A testimony is something that we as Latter-Day Saints can share with others about what we believe in. That Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ lives and loves us. That Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He Atoned for our sins so that we could repent and live with them in Heaven again someday. That Joseph Smith is a true prophet of God and he restored the Church to the Earth. That the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Savior's Church restored on the Earth today. That we have a modern day prophet that leads and guides our church today. Show more Show less
