Hi I'm Katrina

I'm a mother and a wife, I'm the example to my family and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I'm fortunate to have been blessed with a mother who took care of all her children. Making sure that Christ was a center piece in our lives. As now I am a wife and a mother I aspire to be like she was, to be that example. Making my home a haven of spirituality and centering my life around the teachings of The Gospel. I've been married for 9 years to my husband who is not a member. Even with this obstacle, I am determined to continually grow closer to my Savior and dream of one day going to the Temple with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I chose to be. Even though one grows up in the church, there is still the agency to choose. This is my choice. I know this church is true, I know the Book of Mormon is another testimate of Jesus Christ. I know these things because I have prayed about them, my prayers have been answered. My life has been blessed by doing the things which my Father in Heaven commands. My life feels whole from incorporating the Gospel. These things are not easy being married to a non-member, but my Faith helps me prevail. Such a simple thing as Faith and miracles do happen. I see if everyday in my life. Being blessed with two children has been the greatest miracle and blessing! My testimony grows stronger and stronger as each day passes. I have a testimony about the power of the Priesthood. I have personally experienced the blessings from having Faith. I was born blind, the doctors couldn't figure out what was the cause. After a couple of months I was sent to a specialist, the night before I was given a blessing. My parents had Faith that through the power of the Priesthood I would be healed. The next day the specialist examined me and to his astonishment he couldn't understand why I was sent there because I reacted to the light, I by his expertise could see. My mother told me she prayed and told Heavenly Father that if it were His will for me to be blind that she would be blessed with the knowledge to teach me how to read by brail. Her Faith and the Priesthood is why I see today, and I'm eternally grateful for that!

How I live my faith

Being an example to my family. Doing my calling in the church. I am the secretary for our childrens program. I enjoy fulfilling my calling, working with the wonderful women in our program, working with the children.
