Hi I'm Jamie

I grew up in Colorado, and now teach amazing kids in Arizona. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a teacher in Arizona. I just recently graduated from college (A year and half ago) and love my job. I was fortunate enough to be able to work in an amazing area. I am a couponer (NOT EXTREME!) and work really hard to make sure my family is financially stable.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have learned a lot. I tend to think things through before I jump into them, and being a Mormon is no different. Even though I was born a Mormon I still have forced myself to learn as much as possible about the Gospel. This research has lead me to a logical conclusion that it must be true. Every heart string in my body sings when I say those words. "This Church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true."

How I live my faith

I am a primary teacher in my ward. As a 4th grade teacher it's a natural extension for me to be working in the primary. It can be trying at times, but it helps me to become an even better teacher to the kids outside of my own. I absolutly love the kids inside and outside of that calling. The church has a book called "Teaching, No Greater Call" and I use it to model both my inside and my outside teaching.

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

In temples there is sacred teaching that is received by members of the church. We receive sacred ordinances that bind families together and perform baptisms for the dead. There is little that is secret, but a great deal that is sacred. There are things no one will talk about because they are considered private, and the specifics of the temple are similar to that. All who are willing to live to the standards for temple attendance are encouraged to have a current recommend and attend the temple ceremonies regularly. Show more Show less
