Hi I'm Skyler Bradshaw

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a freshman in college. I am studying physiology in hopes of becoming a medical professional. I love to sing. I am a future missionary. I write music (mostly on the piano). And I love my family more than anything!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because my religion has brought me peace, which was a very foreign idea to me for a long time. I have a fairly dark past and many of my experiences have brought on feelings of self-hatred and shame. Every time I thought I would be nearing the end of the tunnel, the light would move further away, and I thought giving up sounded like a much better idea. But, just when I thought all hope was lost, I discovered professional counseling. Although this isn't necessarily the answer for everyone, it is what made all the difference for me. After nearly two years of psychotherapy, and after graduating from high school, I figured it was time to move away and put all that I had learned to use. Once I started doing the things that I was taught and started to let go of all the guilt from my past, I realized that God had been with me all along and that the blame that I was putting on Him was misplaced. So, I turned my life around and I went to all the proper authorities to help clean my life up and now I'm here today with a mission call and a solid testimony in a loving, merciful, and gracious Heavenly Father, who loves us more than we can comprehend, and blesses us with more than we deserve. I love Him with all my heart and I am so grateful for the knowledge that I have of Him and of His son Jesus Christ, who offered Himself as a sacrifice for all mankind, that He might be able to better succor all of us with our different trials and tribulations. I know that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved by obedience to the laws and the ordinances of the Gospel.

How I live my faith

I am going to be a full-time LDS missionary in the summer of 2014. I will be serving in the Washington Federal Way mission, which is in between Seattle and Tacoma, so I will be teaching anyone and everyone that is willing to listen to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
