Hi I'm Jon Kerr

I grew up in Southern California, I surfed, played Volleyball and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an I.T. professional, married for nearly 25 years and a father of 3 boys and 1 girl. I love watching my kids participate in the things they love to do such as Orchestra, Soccer, and Surfing. My family is the center of my life. I enjoy any time I spend with my extended family.

Why I am a Mormon

I have the great fortune of being born into a family that are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I grew up attending church with my family and I always knew that I was in the right place. In Southern California where I grew up, I was one of only a handful of Mormons. Everyone knew what I could and couldn't do, and they made sure I was obedient. When I decided to serve a mission for the Church, I was called to Argentina. While I always knew the gospel was true, my testimony was etched in stone at the mission training center in Provo. Throughout my mission I grew up in many ways. That experience has shaped me into the person I am today. Serving our Father in Heaven, and His children has continued to increase my faith. It is that faith that enables me to know I am a child of God. I have a loving brother and Savior Jesus Christ. The truth that He taught while on this earth has been restored in its fullness. I am in the truth and I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I try to be an example to my family of someone who serves the Lord with joy and faith. The Lord said, "When ye do it unto the least of these my brethern, ye do it unto me." He is an example of service. If I want to be like him I need to serve. I believe that my faith is strengthened when I serve and that others benefit from me living my faith.
