Hi I'm Julie

I'm a Pharmacy Technician and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a married mom with 3 kids and 3 grandkids, oops, and 2 son-in laws. Fun fact... My oldest is a boy then 2 girls & my 1st grandchild is a boy then 2 girls. :) I love spending time with my family. My hobbies are hand quilting, crafts, gardening, reading, being out doors in my yard and gardens, family history. I enjoy canning (even though I haven't done as much as I'd like lately, I'll work on that).

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because the teachings from the Bible and Book of Mormon have given me a life perspective. In understanding that this time on earth isn't all there is...But that Heavenly Father has a plan for all of his children, not just a few selected. That he would provide a Savior, Jesus Christ, to show us what we need to do to return home to him. I am thankful that Christ laid the foundation of his gospel for me to be a part of, as he did in times of old, that no one will be forgotten. I'm thankful for a living Prophet and Apostles that hold the Priesthood of God to act in his name as did Moses, Abraham, and Jacob. Twice a year through satellite broadcast, internet, cable TV, people around the world can hear their words of encouragement to keep the commandments and stay on track. They remind us that we are spirit sons and daughters of God and that our ultimate goal is, when this life is over, to return home and live with them. There are a lot of distractions in the world today, there are a lot of sad people just going through life with no purpose, and I can't imagine that. I am overwhelmed with the happiness and love I feel every day as I pray and read the scriptures. The scriptures are full of life’s experiences and how to handle them. It's all laid out for us. How wonderful to know our Heavenly Father & Jesus Christ love us so much, to give us a blue print to help with our journey home and has given us the Holy Spirit as a companion, to help us along the way!!! I know my Heavenly Father & Jesus Christ & I know they know me! They are a part of my life daily as they help remind me, through the Holy Ghost, of the things I have read, to make choices that bring happiness...which in turn make me want to do acts of kindness, to those I see and are around, to show of my thankfulness to them. All this knowledge has given me a perspective in everything I do and say, all my actions and reactions. Life is good and being a Mormon is my favorite thing in the WHOLE WORLD!!!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be the best I can be. I teach 9 and 10 year olds the New Testament. I love watching their light bulbs come on with aha moments of their own as they learn about the Savior. I've enjoyed getting to know people while doing Habitat for Humanity, and sharing with young mother's some of things I've learned over the years. Because my husband, Mike, is such a social butterfly I enjoy baking goodies or breads and taking them to people in our neighborhood to introduce ourselves and to people that we home or visit teach, then to visit with them and see if there is anything we can do for them. It makes us feel so good. I think that's the best "high" anyone can experience. Doing something for someone else!
