Hi I'm Ben

I'm a husband. I'm a father. I'm a computer programmer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Colorado, with 4 brothers, 3 sisters, and my parents. I love my family and want to have a larger family myself. I'm married and currently have 2 kids and one on the way. I enjoy cooking, camping, video games and programming. I'm introverted and tend to keep a small circle of close friends. Because I'm into computers I like to think logically and analytically. I love doing all the little things to serve my family, and especially my wife.

Why I am a Mormon

I consider myself blessed to be raised as a Mormon from birth. My parents and grandparents are all members of the LDS church as well. As I've matured I've come to love the teachings of Christ, and of his disciples. I feel like I truely gained my testimony in high school as I read the Book of Mormon for the first time. Reading the Book of Mormon makes me feel closer to Christ than almost anything else. I love how plain and simple the gospel is. To me, it makes so much sense that families can be together forever, instead of just lasting until 'death do us part.' I rely on being able to talk to my Father in Heaven with prayer and feel his guidance and love. Just like in Biblical times, God uses prophets to teach and guide his people, and Thomas S. Monson is that man today. I have such respect and admiration for him and the other apostles. I feel like they are close friends and I hope to be like them as I continue to grow and mature.

How I live my faith

I'm a bit shy, so I tend to keep to myself. I've helped teach the cub scouts in our church, and I'm currently helping our full-time missionaries find and teach people who are interested in the church.
