Hi I'm Benjamin

i love my heavenly father, but i am also avid reader. I love music. I love connecting to others, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently 19 years old. Shortly i will be departing on the wonderful journey of a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the country of Spain. I am a guy who has grown up in a large family of 12 kids, and as such i love to be surrounded by the people i love. I also greatly appreciate the friendships i have found in my life and i continue to look forward to making new ones. I absolutely love music- music that uplifts my soul and causes me to feel peace, love, happiness, spiritual, and sometimes even a little melancholy. I enjoy reading extensively; almost entirely fantasy and sci-fi, but one of my favorite books is the Book of Mormon. That is because it is a book that has changed my life and the way i feel towards our wonderful Heavenly Father and this amazing gospel he has given to us here on this earth. It is a book that adds to the testimony of the bible that He and His Son Jesus Christ loves us to the point of incomprehension on our part, and that he wants us to return to his presence. I have recently taken to playing the piano; although i have a long ways to go, but i am determined to get somewhere at the least. Bottom line... i love this gospel and my Father in heaven and i am strengthening my testimony bit by bit so that i can be firm in my faith.

Why I am a Mormon

The reason i have chosen to remain a member of this wonderful church... is because i cannot stand the thought of leaving behind the peace i feel and the love that encompasses me as i try to learn and come closer to God. I feel that i cannot abandon my faith in Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ after what they have done for me. I cant imagine a life where i don't have the knowledge and comfort that i feel as part of Gods restored church here on earth

How I live my faith

I have the wonderful opportunity every week to go to church on Sunday, and to partake of the divine ordinance of the sacrament; so that i can open my heart to God and repent of the things i have done wrong in this life. I also have a great responsibility and chance to teach the kids in my ward that are of the age of 7, and i love to do so; because children can sometimes show us things that are just amazing in the way they share their thoughts, act, and testify with the amazing simplicity of their nature as children. I am partnered with another man in the shared responsibility of coming to the house the the family we home-teach and helping when we can while trying to uplift them with messages of joy and hope each month. I am continually striving to build my faith and i cant do that without the support of my Father in Heaven, because he has given me so much strength in all the aspects of my life and i am forever grateful for the love i know he feels for me- for it is the commanding drive that keeps my head up and filled with the hope of an eternal happiness.
