Hi I'm Robin Green

I was born in Utah and raised in AZ. I have 21 brothers/sisters, I love music, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in 1994 into a family with 10 children all together. When I was 3 years old my mother passed away from breast cancer. My little brother was only 7 months old. My dad remarried to my first step mom who already had 2 kids. Shortly after we moved to Arizona. Growing up my family had become very musical, and soon it was a part of my life. Music had become the one thing that kept me connected to my mom throughout my life. I started choir when I was in 1st grade and I fell in love with it. Since then i have been all the choirs I could join. When I was ten my parents got a divorce and my dad remarried again to a women with 10 kids of her own. Because 9 of them were adopted we had a diverse family with all different kinds of backgrounds, beliefs, and trials. It was a tough divorce that lead to me not being able to see or talk to my first step mom for years at a time. I was held back that year and switched schools because of it. Even though all the world around me was crumbling, the one thing I know I always had was music. By the time I was in 8th grade I have had siblings kicked out, tried to run away, I was removed from my house and not allowed to see my siblings for 6 months and been through my own great depression. The only thing that kept me going was music. I taught myself how to play the piano, guitar, and ukulele. I also joined 2 school choirs and a church choir. Me in a nut shell... a music nut.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. I was taught by my parents to believe in Jesus Christ and his teachings. I grew up not questioning the fact that God lives and his son Jesus Christ was sent to die and atone for our sins. Although I was born and raised into the church, that is not the reason why I am a Mormon. Growing up on borrowed faith, turns out alright, until you are left alone and trials come your way. It was a a certain point in my life when I had to make a decision. I was faced with reality and situations that would change my life. It wasn't until I, personally, found the faith for myself, that I knew what decision to make. I am a Mormon because I searched and studied, for myself, to find the truth. I prayed and prayed until I had an answer to my prayers. I don't know all the truth yet and that is why I am a Mormon, to help me find the whole truth.

How I live my faith

I try my best to live by my faith. I know I'm not perfect. No one is. I guess the way I see it, is that we can only do our best. For me living my by my faith is doing what I know to be right. When I do what I know is right, I fell happy. Mostly when I do what is right I make others happy. That makes me happy. Right now I am serving a mission because I want to share with others the joy I have when I follow the gospel. I know that this gospel has the power to make every single person happy. That is why I want to share it. It would be selfish of me not to share it. I live my faith only because I want to. The church doesn't force you to do what they think is right; they share what they know is right and what will make you happy and give you the choice to choose for yourself. That is why I love this gospel. That is why I love doing what is right. I live my faith by loving my faith.
