Hi I'm Mitchell

Hello everyone! I am a Mormon, a member of this wonderful church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

About Me

I was raised in the church, by my wonderful parents, my father being a convert to the church when he was in his 30's. I lived in Virginia and growing up in the church there was an interesting experience. I was practically one of the only people my age there at the time that was Mormon, and it was always difficult to explain to people why I believed the things I did. Since those times, I have lived in Mesa, Arizona, where the church is much more prominent. My love for the gospel grew and I found great friends in this part of the world. One of my favorite things of all time is music. The tune, beat, notes and tempo can have such an effect on a person, the way they feel and they way they act. My favorite genres would have to be Alternative and Indie Rock, as I love the rhythm and style of those types of songs and the relaxed manner in which people express themselves. As far as instruments goes, I play the drums and the clarinet, and I love them both. The clarinet for the melodious intricacies in the which you can play with that instrument, and the drums for the stress release I get from it. I love this gospel and this church. The things one knows, such as that families can be together after this life, or that one can be baptized by the correct, restored priesthood authority are such great blessings and knowledge to have while on this earth. I have a testimony of the truthfulness of this gospel. If you would like to ask me how I know these things are true, feel free to ask!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, actually, and have always gone. I don't go just because of my parents though, I've found it to be true for myself, through others testimonies and through reading the scriptures. The biggest part of my testimony is prayer however, I've had many instances in which I've prayed and it all turned out alright. Also, tithing is a big part as well. Not only my participation in it, but my parents. They have always paid their tithing and have always gotten through paying their bills so much easier.

How I live my faith

How one lives their faith is so important. For me, I live my faith by daily prayer, scripture study, going to church and striving to be a good person. One of the things I think is really important in living the gospel of Jesus Christ is knowing that we are going to mess up. Everyone will, most assuredly, make mistakes. The glorious and unimaginable sacrifice that was made for us, the Atonement, gives us the power to repent and to start anew. Daily striving to better myself and to help others is how I live my faith.
