Hi I'm Mitchell

I'm a Mormon. I love sports, boating, and learning. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.

About Me

I'm tall, 6 foot 2, and I love to play basketball. I have 4 younger siblings in a family of 7. I have been a Mormon my whole life, and I love it. I enjoy going to church, as well as church activities. I enjoy spending time with my family, especially family vacations. I grew up in Bellevue, Washington, and consequently spent a lot of time on the water. Hiking, biking, and skiing are all great activities that I love to do in the Northwest. I am currently studying at Brigham Young University in Provo Utah. Recently I returned from a 2 year mission Joao Pessoa Brazil. I am engaged to a wonderful woman and look forward to being married very soon. I cant wait to have a family of my own. I hope to get a degree in law and become a patent attorney. I hope to continue to read my scriptures daily and to grow my relationship with my Father in Heaven and eventually make it back to live with Him. I am so thankful for my family and my friends whom I love very much. I am so very grateful for the opportunity I have to share the happiness and love I have in my life with others. I have been given so many blessings and am so excited to be able to share all of those things with others. I truly am so lucky and have been given so much.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, and have always been a consistent member. I love being Moromon! Truly I do. What a blessing. While many of my friends question why I obey so many rules and don't do so many of the things that are a regular part of their lives, I tell them that the activities I choose not to do actually ends up protecting me and allowing me to stay as free as possible from the adversary and from the countless worldly temptations and challenges. Following the so called "rules" of the gospel is not restrictive, but is in fact protection from evil, suffering, and a lack of control in my own life. I love being able to be on a mission and teach others the joy and true peace I have found in my life. I desire to give everyone the oppurtunity to have their family together for eternity like I know I will have. There is no greater joy. I have a lot of respect for people of all faiths who believe in constantly improving and working as hard as they can at all times. I believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and that he restored this church to the earth. I also believe that we have a common day prophet today who receives revelation and instruction from God to help us in our daily lives. I believe that God loves and knows each one of us on a personal level, and that he wants us to return and be able to live with him. Through His atonement and having faith in Him, truly anything is possible for us all. It is all about our desires. It is my pleasure to serve the Lord.

How I live my faith

I am constantly living my faith. I was baptized at the age of 8 and have been active all my life. I read my scriptures daily and constantly say prayers. I attend church every week and I love it! I love serving in the church and its callings! I have a testimony of the power of home teaching. I bear my testimony to my family and at church meetings, as well as with others around me. I know that family is the most important thing in my life and that we should do everything in our power to stregthen those relationships. I try to do what is right at all times and keep myself clean. I try to be worthy at all times so that I can be able to exercise my priesthood power to bless others. I try to be kind and a friend to all. We are all amazing sons and daughters of Christ. I fully believe that service is more of a blessing for the giver than even the receiver. I believe in loving thy neighbor as thyself. I have such a testimony of the prophet Jospeh Smith and the restoration. I know the book of mormon is true. I know by studying it and abiding by its principles we can become closer to Christ faster than anything else. I am so very thankful for the blessings I have and for the Holy Ghost which is always present. I am thankful for love and for Christs infinite atonement. All things are truly possible through Him. Temples are also such a blessing on this earth. I know that through them families can be together forever. The power of prayer and personal revelation is real in my life.
