Hi I'm Margaret

I live in Olympia, WA. I'm happily married with 6 children and 13 grandchildren. I'm proud to call myself a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a woman who has been blessed with a wonderful husband, mother of 6 delightful children and I'm a 70 yr old proud Grandmother of 13. I love to sew and cook. I still work 8:00 am to 3:00 pm for a state agency. I love my job and co-workers and it keeps my mind alert being busy amd active. I love to spend time with my grandchildren and go to movies and dinner with my husband. Life is great and I enjoy the outdoors and the change of seasons. Christmas is a fun time for me, because I love to bake cookies and I make hundreds of them to give to family and friends. I love the spirit of christmas and the joy you find with family. Jesus Christ is really in my thoughts during this time of year and I feel his spirit. I have two mini dachshunds that give be lots of joy. They love to see me come in the door every day after work. Unconditional love!! My life has not been without challenges, but I have been given the strength needed to endure the trials that have come my way. I feel blessed and joyful to be who I am, where I am now and the knowledge I have of where I will be going when my life is complete on this earth. God is with me every day. He brings me strength, love and peace!

Why I am a Mormon

I've always been proud to call myself a Mormon. I was raised in an in-active home, but my parents always incouraged me to go to church. I found comfort among the members in my ward and always had the desire to attend church. I fell in love with a non-member, but he joined the church before we were married. We have stayed active our whole married lives. Some of our children have not stayed active in the church, but they are good, kind, loving children and I know that someday they will decide to come back to the gospel. I love going to church. The church and its teaching give me the strength to indure the trials of this life. I know that we have trails to make us stronger and they will bless our lives as we learn to overcome. I have a testimony of Jesus Christ and know that he has made it possible for me to return to my Heavenly Father. He has taught me thru his example how to live a good life and how to repent when it is needed. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God. He gave his life for the church and he will always be a wonderful example to the saints. I'm grateful for my family and hope to someday be reunited with them in the Celestrial Kingdom. I feel so blessed to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I'm grateful for the standard works and the guidance they give to me in this life. I pray that I will remain faithful to the church and serve when and wherever I am called. I pray that I will always find time to serve others and help them with their trials in this life. I also hope I will take every opportunity I can find to share the message of this Gospel. I feel comfort, peace and joy in this church. I enjoy the companionship of by brothers and sisters in the church and I know that they will always be there to help me in my time of need. I pray that all my family will someday realize the importance of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and make it the center of their lives. Their lives will be so blessed!

How I live my faith

I take every opportunity I can to serve others. I enjoy visiting nursing homes and helping bring a smile to the faces of those I meet. I love young children and try to be a good example to them. I enjoy caring for others that are in need. I take food to the sick, make home visits and try to help wherever I'm needed. I try to send cards and letters to those who may need a cheerful note. I try to treat my family, friends and co-workers with love and respect. I try to be honest in all my dealings with my fellowman. I truly enjoy serving others and lifting their burdens any way I can. I try to be a good example to my family and friends. It is a great joy to be to be able to help others in any way I can. I have had many opportunities in my life to organize service projects and to teach classes on self reliance. I feel that teaching others to care for themselves can be the most valuable gift you can give. I really believe in self reliance and strive to teach these principles when there is a need and opportunity. I have had the opportunity to participate in may humanitarian service projects thru my church during my lifetime. It has brought me great joy to take part in these service projects. I truly believe we are on this earth to serve one another in any way we can. This is the purpose of the Gospel and a covenant made with Jesus Christ at the time of baptism.
