Hi I'm Morgan

I'm a math-loving communications graduate student. I have a crazy obsession with the color hot pink. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I got my Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics Education, and am now pursuing my Master's degree in Communication Liberal Arts Sciences. I love the color hot pink! Most of what I own is either pink, or compliments something else I own that is pink. I was a modern dancer for 12 years, and am known to bust a move anywhere and everywhere. I love teaching. I love people. I love talking to people and learning of their stories. I believe that everyone has a story, and love hearing those stories and feeling connected to other people. I love life.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church--my parents are both members. However, after health problems plagued me at age 14, I began to develop the knowledge of the gospel's truthfulness for myself. I know that my Savior lives. I know that He loves me, and is always aware of my needs. He has so carefully led and guided me through my crazy adventure called life. I know that being a member of the church does not make me immune from hard times. I recently moved 1600 miles from my home, my family, and my life to establish somewhere where I know next to no one and have no family around me. However, the gospel remains my constant, and my Savior remains the same. He has my needs in mind and I see His love manifest through the love of the people that I come in contact with. I know that no matter what I can turn to him in prayer. Without Him, and without the camaraderie that membership in a ward or branch brings, I would be truly lost. It keeps me grounded, and keeps my outlook on life positive. I love my Savior. I am committed to serving Him by serving those around me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith every day in the way that I act and present myself. I dress modestly, and often wear jewelry that reminds me of my faith. Though often put in situations where alcohol is present, I choose to abstain. I am able to use my talents and play the piano in the organ during Sunday meetings. I enjoy this! I also am looking for ways to help everyone--whether members of the church or not! I love leaving encouraging notes for people in random places. I study from my scriptures daily, and can often be found listening to church-inspired music. I love getting to know the girls in my congregation through visiting some of them monthly. I am not afraid to explain my beliefs to anyone who asks. I try to live my life so that I can be my Savior's hands.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Morgan
The simple answer is to read the Book of Mormon and PRAY! Try living the things that you are learning and pay attention to how you feel. As you feel the peace, comfort, hope, and happiness that faith in Christ brings, you will learn to recognize that as the Holy Ghost influencing your life. Show more Show less
