Hi I'm Rebecca Hilton

I'm a singer, a country girl, chocoholic and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. I studied at UVU my freshman year of college and I plan to go to the nursing school there to become a Nurse Anesthetist. I enjoy playing the piano and I participated in choir throughout middle school and high school. I love to learn new things and to experience different cultures. Spending time with friends and family is something that always makes me happy. I leave on September 10th, 2014 to be a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Santiago, Chile for a year and a half.

Why I am a Mormon

I was into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have always had a love for the gospel and I have always felt the joy that comes from it. Although I was born into the church, I wanted to know for myself if it was true. I read the Book of Mormon when I was 15 years old and after reading it I gained my own testimony. I continue to follow the gospel because it brings happiness into my life. Although it does not make life simple, the church makes me get through things with a more positive outlook and it makes me happier. Being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Days Saints also has made me extremely grateful for the Savior Jesus Christ and his Atonement. I know that I can change and become better because of Christ. I know that Joseph Smith saw Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and that he restored Christ's gospel on the earth. I know that God loves me and that he wants me to find happiness in this life, which is found in this gospel.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is something that I strive to do every day. I connect with my Heavenly Father in prayer daily. I thank Him for all that I have and I also ask for guidance of what he wants me to do for Him and for myself. I read the Book of Mormon and I do my absolute best to live by the teachings that are in it. I attend church meetings every Sunday where I partake of the sacrament and I renew the covenants that I made with Heavenly Father when I was baptized. It is very important for me to be close to the Spirit throughout my day. I can tell a difference of how my day goes when I am not feeling the Spirit strongly vs. when I am. The Spirit helps me make decisions correctly. I strive to live the way that Christ did because he was perfect and he came to this earth to be an example for us.
