Hi I'm Jarom

I'm an Idaho spud. I'm an aspiring artist. i plan to get into video game development. I'm as nerdy as they get, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Even though I was born in Seattle Washington, I have been raised in the rural countryside of southern Idaho for all my life. My family made up of my parents; Mark and Melonie , my younger sisters; Janae and Julia, my older brothers; James, Jacob (married with two kids), and Jared (luckily married as well, and with a child on the way). I have always been a fan of electronic gaming (PC, Xbox, etc) and hobby gaming (wizards of the coast, games workshop, etc). I personally enjoy sketching whatever comes to my mind. One of my favorite pass times is to brainstorm ideas with my eldest brother, Jared. We have created many worlds and universes that hopefully someday you can enjoy on a game board or consol (maybe someday I can make that into a career). I have as well published a comic book with my brother called “konomancer”, and I hope to continue comic writing and illustrating as a hobby. To top off my geeky side, I have watched a good amount of Japanese anime, and have read an equal share of Japanese and American comic books. I also love to collect a little bit of Lego on the side. I now serve in the California Carlsbad mission as a full time missionary at the ripe old age of 21. I plan to get into college after this marvelous two years and get degrees in graphic design, computer animation, and others.

Why I am a Mormon

I would be one of those “born in the church” kids, Raised in a full mormon house hold, but being brought up in the church has no less of an impact on conversion then has any other conversion story. There was a time in my life where I was becoming a young adult and I now had a lot more freedom when it came to church. I attended a few times the local congregation where I resided, but there were plenty of times where I decided to just skip out (“playing hooky” as some would say). As I drew closer to the age of going on a mission, I became more concerned about my personal standpoint in the church. I feel like I was guided from my heavenly father from that point to help the lord’s work. As I have been out in the mission field in California Carlsbad, I realized the blessings that the church brings, and that the spirit that I felt through my life confirmed its claim as the true church of Jesus Christ restored at this time on the earth before his glorious second coming.

How I live my faith

I can’t claim that I am a perfect member of the church. I have a hard time being Christ like at times, and it is hard for me to follow all his commandments he has given us, but I constantly stand up again each time the forces of the adversary push me down. I cannot be perfect in this life, but I will constantly strive to be more like my redeemer, savior, and lord, so that someday I can be counted worthy to stand in his presence. My faith in his atoning sacrifice coupled with all that I can do in this life, will bring me back into the presence of my heavenly father and Jesus Christ.
