Hi I'm Andie

I'm from Colorado. I go backpacking through the mountains in my spare time. I have an obsession with watermelon. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, moved to Las Vegas, Nevada when I was four, and then moved to Colorado (my favorite of all the places I've lived) when I was eight. I am the oldest of 3 kids. We are all adopted, and I couldn't imagine my life without those dorks. Currently, I am going to school for Biomedical and Mechanical Engineering, so you can call me a math and science nerd. I love building and imagining new things, and hopefully I can use that skill to help people in the future. In my spare time you'll find me in the outdoors. Living in Colorado, I have the gorgeous Rocky Mountains in my backyard, so I go hiking, camping, climbing, and exploring whenever I can. I also love staying active. In high school I played volleyball, and in college I was introduced to rugby. My mom has turned me into a runner, and I finished my first half-marathon a few months ago. Now I am a full-time missionary serving in Arizona, and I couldn't be happier!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised with the gospel in my life. I was baptized at age 8, and to this day I remember that day exactly. I am a Mormon because of all of the blessings the Lord has given me because I have lived righteously. Because I am a Mormon I have met so many nice people that have the same beliefs as I do. I am also a Mormon because no matter what I know that He is always with me; through the hard times and the good times, He is always there. I know this because I have prayed, studied the scriptures and I have felt the spirit so strongly in my life. Even though I've had the gospel in my life for my entire life, it wasn't until I was in college and on my own when I was truly converted. Being on my own, trying to figure life out, I was able to turn to the Lord for comfort and guidance. I was able to feel His love and was able to listen to Him. I have witnessed his blessings and know His love for each and everyone of us is real and true.

How I live my faith

What I love most about this church is it's overwhelming capability to help anyone and everyone. I have felt no greater joy than when I am helping others. This church has given me so many opportunities to perform acts of service. Whether through young women's, relief society, or even gathering some friends, I have been able to meet the nicest people, and be able to help them in any way I can. Now I am a full-time missionary serving the people of Arizona in anyway I possibly can!
