Hi I'm Sheristan

I'm number 2 of 22 children in my family, I love being outdoors, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have 22 kids in my family, 10 girls and 12 boys. I help take care of them and I love it! As a family we love to play games and be outside. I play the clarinet and have played for 10 years. My sister and I play duets in church and other programs. I love to be outdoors, camping, hiking, swimming, you name it! I grew up in the church and I am so grateful that I did, it has made all the difference in who I am today. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because this is what the Lord wants me to be doing. I did not always make the correct choices in my life, but the Lord was always there when I needed him. I love being a part of this gospel, it makes all the difference in who I am as a person. It helps me make the correct choices and gives me good guidelines to follow. I love this gospel and I love the people that I meet in it. I know that this is the true church, it gives meaning to my life and I find peace in it. I am who I am and Christ accepts me, flaws and all. I know that I can always rely on him when times get rough, and he will be there to comfort me. As a young girl I never really understood the importance of church or of the Book of Mormon, and as I have gotten older I have grown to love both. I enjoy reading the Book of Mormon, it was truly written for our day. It helps me get through so much as I stumble through life. I am so grateful to be a part of this great work! I know how very true this church is and I know how much it can bless others in their lives. I hope that I can share with others the importance of Christ in our lives.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving others. I teach young children in our primary program. I love being able to teach and play with the young children of the church. I help out with the womens organization by decorating for activities, cooking for families, and teaching other women in the church. I love going out and serving people in the community, I have helped in soup kitchens, humanitarian aide, cleaning up the community, and painting fences in the area. Being the in the church has really helped me to focus on others rather than myself. The church teaches you to "lose yourself in the work". When you are serving others you forget about yourself and the struggles you are dealing with, and you focus on others and their needs. The church is such a wonderful blessing and I pray that I can continue to serve others throughout my life.
