Hi I'm Cindi

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom to four beautiful kids that have all grown up and live on their own except for the youngest. I have one granddaughter who just turned one and is a joy to be around. Two of my kids attend college in another state. My son just returned home from serving a mission in Chile. I work a few days a week and love riding around my town on my red scooter. I like to go boating and spend time up in the mountains when the valley gets too hot. I like to work out early in the mornings and enjoy staying active. I love to read, travel, do crafts and quilts, watch sports (especially baseball, love my diamondbacks), go out with friends and above all spend time with my husband and kids.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the only church where I can receive ordinances performed by someone who holds the priesthood that will allow me to return to live with my Heavenly Father and be with my family for eternity. I am a Mormon so that I can continue to live the gospel and try to become like Christ. I am a Mormon so I could get married in the temple for time and all eternity. I am a Mormon so that I can live in a way that I will be able to have the Holy Ghost with me always to guide me and comfort me. Being a Mormon makes me a better person as I try and live the commandments. Living the commandments makes me happy. I am a Mormon because I know that when I make a mistake I can repent and if I am sincere and try not to do it again, I can be forgiven. I know that the atonement of Jesus Christ makes it possible for us to be forgiven and live with Heavenly Father again. If not for the atonement this would not be possible because no unclean thing can enter into the presence of our Heavenly Father. Since we all make mistakes there had to be an atonement so we could repent. Being a Mormon means abstaining from drugs, alcohol and tobacco. I am so happy that I have been taught to avoid these drugs. I don't believe you can be free to make your own choices if you partake in these things. I am very grateful for this commandment. I am a Mormon because I believe in being virtuous. When we keep our thoughts and actions clean then it reflects in our lives and in our dress. Heavenly Father does not want us to use our bodies in a way that would not be respectful. Our body is a temple and should be treated as such. I am a Mormon because The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints teaches principle that I want to live and I want my family to live. This is true happiness.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving others and trying to be an example in all that I do. By serving others I develop a love for them. Loving others is a Christ like attribute and makes others feel happy. I try to read my scriptures each morning and learn from the examples and teachings in them. I try and be kind and honest with others. This is what makes me happy. In my ward I get to teach the young children. I love this! They are so sweet and honest and innocent. They are quick to learn and forgive and love. When we can teach our children gospel principles such as love, faith, prayer, and to help them to know that they have a loving Heavenly Father who wants them to be happy then these children develop a strong sense of self worth and can stand up for what is right in the world and what they believe in. They are children that other children want to be around. I try and help my brothers and sisters around me. Everyone needs a friend and a kind word. I try and be Christ like and treat others how I want to be treated. What it comes down to is very simple. Try and live like Christ did. Love one another. Serve one another. Live your life in a way that you are worthy to have the Holy Ghost with you. He will guide you and give you a good feeling about your choices. That's how you know you are on the right track. When I try and do all that I can then I know Christ is there to help take the rest from me. I can't always give 100%. But I can always give my best, whatever that will be.
