Hi I'm Ben

I'm from Florida. I love fishing, sailing, camping and all sorts of outdoors activities, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I come from a great family which I enjoy having fun with. I love to go fishing...a lot! It provides all the recreation one needs, relaxation, thrill, excitement, and fun all in one. I also like hanging out at the beach. I love sailing, and all sorts other of outdoor activities. I also enjoy sports as a player, or spectator. Basketball, football and racquetball are probably among my favorites. Just hanging out with friends and family is something I also really enjoy. I am currently serving as a missionary for the Church in the Washington Everett Mission, and I totally love it! Washington is beautiful, despite all the rain. Missionary work is definitely the most challenging and rewarding thing I have ever done.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe that God will show us what is true if that is what we seek. I know what is true because it has been proven to me again and again, through experience, that what is written in the Bible and The Book of Mormon is true. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I know that the teachings of this Church are true. Namely that we are all entitled to our own personal revelation and inspiration from God. I am a Mormon because I believe that it makes perfect sense that God would have a prophet on the Earth today, just as he has throughout the history of the world. I am Mormon because I know that when I keep the commandments I am happy, and the Lord blesses me. I'm Mormon because I know that the Book Of Mormon is the word of God and another testament of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I love people, and I love to help and serve people in anyway that I can. Christ lived His life in constant, selfless service to others. I believe that as I try to emulate his perfect example, I can move closer to him. I live my faith by trying to always be aware of how I can help someone out. I try to live my faith and share my faith through example. Right now, I am serving as a missionary in Washington, and this provides me with endless opportunities to provide service to others in many different ways. Repairing a leaky roof, cutting a lawn, and trimming overgrown bushes in a yard are all pretty common acts of service that we do regularly in the community. Yet, as a missionary, I have seen that the greatest thing we do to help people is to teach them about the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ.
