Hi I'm Taylor Ostergaard!

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Colorado on a farm showing and judging livestock. I love horses, cattle and hogs!

About Me

I grew up on a farm and in agriculture. I love this way of life and everything that it entails. I showed and judged livestock growing up and am happy to still be able to raise and show stock and judge shows with my husband. My husband and I both judged all through 4-H, junior college and senior college. This is actually what brought us together! We love to be together and do chores as a family. This is a special time for us to be with one another and connect with a lifestyle we love. I think that we need to be constantly reminded of the creation of life and how detailed and intricate these things are on this earth. It's this knowledge that testifies to me that there is a God that he loves us and is aware of us. We often pray for help and guidance in our daily tasks as we frequently need help with animals or help just help understanding them. I also love watching new lives come in and out of this world as it reminds me of the Masters eternal plan. I am so grateful for this and all the blessings we so bountifully have in our lives. Agriculture teaches us about the gospel, the creation and the growth of ourselves and the things around us.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because, I know it's true! I know it, as I can feel it in every atom of my body. I have a testimony of this gospel that no one can take away from me. My testimony started on the foundation of my parents love and knowledge of the gospel. However, nothing is worth having unless it is your own. I gained my testimony through my trials. I grew up in a setting of ridicule and constant question but, this only fortified my faith and testimony. I later went on a mission to Brazil and it was here that I realized how much I loved the gospel and how much Christ loved me and his children. I know he loves us and I have never been so certain about anything in my entire life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday as peculiar person. I am surrounded by friends and family who do not share the same beliefs. Some are very intolerant of our beliefs and lifestyle. It is due to this that I have learned to just love everyone, even those that persecute us. Why? Well, they just don't understand and that's okay. Being a good example in all I do is the best I can do.sometimes. People watch us as members and due to this it's important to always be my best self. I fail at this everyday but, I'm trying.

What is Mormonism? OR What do Mormons believe?

Taylor Ostergaard!
Mormonism to me is happiness. Our gospel is centered around families, with Christ being the center. He is the only way and we can and will be eternally happy if we follow him. If we live his teachings and commandments we know that we can return to him with our families. We strive to be like him in all that we do. We have the truthfulness of the gospel to help us understand his eternal plan. We believe in prophets and apostles and another testament of Jesus Christ called the Book of Mormon. We seek anything that testifies of him to learn of him and become better. We love our Savior and we know that he along with our Heavenly Father loves us! Show more Show less
