Hi I'm Kim

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Littleton, Colorado. I am married and have four amazing children. I love to quilt.

About Me

I am a wife and mother to four children, one boy and three girls. Our youngest daughter just graduated from high school and we were empty nesters for one whole week. I love my family, traditions and old family photos. I enjoy quilting, gardening and being outdoors. We helped start a community garden in our last neighborhood. As a family we enjoy skiing, both water and snow, although the kids like to "board". I love to decorate for every holiday and tend to get carried away at Christmas! There is a tree for each of my children and nativity sets abound. Anything that is beautiful, makes me happy.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel of Jesus Christ has always been a part of my life. Some of my ancestors joined the church in the 1800's in Denmark and Switzerland. From those beginnings until now, my family has had the gospel as a guiding force in our lives. My fantastic parents and grandparents have been Christ-like examples to me. I want to try every day to become more like them and like the Saviour, Jesus Christ, because I want to be with my family forever... even after this mortal life is over. Whenever I look at the beauty of the world around me, I see the hand of God in every mountain, tree and flower. I am thankful for His desire for each of His children to be full of joy.

How I live my faith

I am continually striving to be a better person, by keeping the commandments. Sometimes I feel hopelessly flawed, but my goal is to be a little better each day. Each of the commandments are important, but I want to learn to do all I do for love. Love for my Heavenly Father, His Son, my family and my brothers and sisters in the world.  I am trying to be like Jesus and develop an unconditional love for everyone. My family is very diverse and I have a handicapped sister that I am striving to love more unconditionally. Sometimes it is a challenge for me when she is unkind to my children. I feel closer to my Heavenly Father and His Son when I read my scriptures and sincerely pray. I want to have His guidance and strength with me each day. I love to work with the youth in my community and help them as they find their way through life.
