Hi I'm Carol

I am a mother and grandmother, I am a prolific reader, I love to cook, I love flowers and I have cancer. I am a Mormon

About Me

Being a waitress was my first job. Working as a buyer for an aeronautic industry was my longest lasting job. My last job was as a data base auditor for telephone operators & systems. I was able to stay at home while my children were small for 14 years. I just retired and I am looking forward to new interests and of course to reading even more. My favorite job was being a mother.

Why I am a Mormon

God has answered my prayers so many times. I have felt his comfort in hard situations. Many times I have been inspired, listening to the spirit of the Holy Ghost has kept me safe. One time I was driving home from visiting a friend and felt impressed to take the longer road instead of the shorter but steep road. I arrived home safely, parked my car and went into the house. When I next came out to drive my car I noticed a large black puddle underneath the car. The puddle was brake fluid. I was very glad I had not taken the steep road home.

How I live my faith

Jesus taught that the greatest commandment is to love God and to love others. I try to show my love by meeting my neighbors, becoming friends with them, sharing fun times and hard times with them. My neighbors include people I meet at the gym and other socal locations, work, people in my church, and of course family members. When I moved into my new home 8 years ago, my new neighbor was a lovely young mother with a 2 year old daughter. Within a few months the daughter was diagnosed with cancer and so was I. Despite the thirty year age difference between my neighbor and me, we became best friends. We fixed meals for each other, prayed for each other, cried together and laughed together. Her daughter died three years ago, I am still living with cancer. My friend is now expecting a new baby and I am hosting a baby shower for her. I am thankful for the love I share with my friend.
