Hi I'm Brook Smith

I'm 18 years old, my parents are divorced, I'm a college student and, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a full time nanny, college student, sister, daughter, and friend. I love to hang out with my friends all the time. We think of really weird things to do in our free time, so we don't have to spend much money. When I was 13 years old my parents got a divorce. I helped raise my siblings pretty much my whole life until my parents got back into the swing of things. I am a normal girl who just has had some non normal things happen in her life. I embrace every day with a smile on my face even though I probably get an average of 3 1/2 to 4 hours of sleep a night! Number one on my list is my Savior Jesus Christ along with that comes family and not so far behind friends:)

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was baptized at a young age my family has not always attended church. For many years I took my siblings to church by myself. I found so much joy in the gospel after my parents got a divorce, because I found out for myself that even though I am going through hard times in my life my Savior took on all of the sins, embarrassments, hardships, and trials of the world. I know that HE has been there too! I found comfort in knowing that I have a Savior who was willing to sacrifice his life for ME, that he knows me individually more than I know myself. I wanted to set a good example for my siblings as well, I was not the only one going through these hard times they were facing them too and as their older sister I wanted to share with them how I found my happiness through the gospel of Jesus Christ. My dad also attends church with us and is a great example to me. That through our trials we become stronger and better. Even though my family is not together on this earth we have the opportunity to be together FOREVER. Not just for time on this earth, but for eternity through the temples and covenants(which is a promise we make between ourselves and our heavenly father). In the temple

How I live my faith

I have a overwhelming love for the scriptures I read them probably on an average of 3-4 times a day. I attend my church meetings, as well as institute(which is classes you can take through your college and/or University that are gospel based). I am also going to attend Brigham Young University in Rexburg, Idaho. I have a testimony that the gospel of Jesus Christ is true and helps me solve and overcome not just big trials but little everyday things that every person on this earth has to face. I know my Savior lives and atoned for my sins. I have a testimony that families can be together forever through the covenants we make in the temple and I am so thankful for that.
