Hi I'm Tabitha Daugherty

I'm a barefoot, long distance runner, I'm a nursing student, I'm an outdoor adventurer. And I'm a Mormon!

About Me

One of my favorite things to do is run. I love finding a good trail and running my little heart out. I also love to hike, mountain bike, swim, scuba dive and basically anything outside! I have two wonderful parents and 2 biological siblings, 3 adopted and one in the process of being adopted! It's a big family and I love every single one of them! I'm currently attending BYU-Idaho and I am in the nursing program here. I absolutely love this university! It has an incredible spirit. It's amazing getting an education at a campus where I can feel the spirit of the Lord in every class.

Why I am a Mormon

I absolutely love being LDS. Every single thing about the gospel makes perfect sense to me and I'm so grateful for the truth that it brings. The gospel brings me the greatest happiness. I've travelled and moved fairly often, but knowing that the gospel is the same EVERYWHERE I go has been such a blessing and comfort. I love being friends with members because it makes living righteously so much easier and we all have the same standards. I'm so grateful that we have a living prophet here on earth who receives direct revelation from the Lord and leads and guides the people on the earth today, just as the prophets of old did. Although people think that we have a lot of rules, I think of the guidelines of the church as a protection from sin and I'm very glad to follow them. I love having the warmth and comfort of the Holy Ghost to guide me everyday and I'm so grateful that I can talk to Heavenly Father whenever I need to and I know that he hears me. My favorite thing about the gospel is that it's not only a religion, but a lifestyle. The gospel helps guide my life so that I can live righteously and live with my Heavenly Father again someday.

How I live my faith

I try my hardest to implement my faith into every aspect of what I do. When someone is truly converted, that is just what comes naturally. The gospel of Jesus Christ is so illuminating. I think that just smiling is a simple thing that I do to share my joy and happiness with others; it's easy to see God's light radiating from people through their smiles.
