Hi I'm Laurie

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a single Mother of 3, I am a Daughter, a Sister, and a Granddaughter, and most importantly a daughter of an Amazing and Loving Heavenly Father without whom I would not want to be.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a part member home, My Father was from Mexico and a Catholic and my Mother was from Texas and converted from Methodist/Southern Baptist to Mormon. It wasn't always easy being a member, My Family was different from my ward and neighborhood, First we were one of a very few brown people in the area, Second we were a part member home which meant that we were not sealed together in the Temple which made for difficult "Families are Forever" lessons and then My parents divorced. The good news was I had amazing parents who taught me to Love everyone no matter what they looked like or what religion they were. They taught by example the importance of service and being true to who you are and why were here. I have not always made the best decisions in my life but knowing God and being a member has always helped me to get right back the right path. I'm a Mormon because I know God and my Savior lives and I have felt their love and tender mercies when I am in the wrong on too many occasions to not believe. I'm a Mormon because in all my studies of other religions the principles that this gospel teaches will and do bring a Joy unlike any other and I'm a Mormon because it is true to who I am in every sense.

How I live my faith

I live my Faith by going to and actively participating in and attending all my meetings. I have had many callings that have greatly blessed me and my family. They do come with their challenges but I know that they have helped to make me the better more confident person I am today.
