Hi I'm Erik

I converted to the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in December of 2010.

About Me

Growing up, I was always getting into trouble. I guess that was the way that I thought I could get the most attention. Well, it worked, and it wasn't long before I had the attention of the local police. I was arrested a few times, and finally ended up being sent to prison for five years. It was during that five years that I truely had a change of heart and decided to do everything that I could to become a better person. One night I decided to prey, and I asked God to help me to change. I also asked Him to allow me to meet a woman that would help me to make good decisions, and that I could share my life with. About a year after I was released from prison I met the woman who was to become my wife. She had been an inactive member of the church for many years, but once we were merried she was determined to become active once again. Today, we are both members of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and we teach a primary class together. I have seen many more of my prayers answered since I first asked God for guidence, and I am so thankful for the oppertunity that I have been given to be here and to learn the lessons of this life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of this church because I know it is true. I believe that our families are eternal, and that God wants us to be together with Him in heaven once we have learned all that we came to this world to learn.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by reading scriptures, saying prayers, and sharing lessons with some of the youth that are also members of the church.
