Hi I'm Sam

I'm a working college student who likes to have fun. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student at Utah State University and I'm am a senior majoring in accounting. After I finish my BS, I plan on getting my MAcc. I have my AAS in drafting from Boise State University and am currently working as a drafter at S & S Worldwide where we make amusement part rides. I love to sew dresses and quilts, read, learn, bake, shop and have fun. My life's philosophy is to have fun and enjoy myself. I also love 4-wheeling, being outside, the sun and summer, being with family and working with cows.

Why I am a Mormon

Simply put: the gospel brings me joy. Many wonder why church members try to tell everyone about their church and I've come to realize for myself that the church is the gospel of good news. I experience so much good in my life because of my beliefs and my testimony that I am truly enriched and overwhelmed by just how much our father in heaven loves us. I get excited about my religion and want the whole world to know that there is more to this life. There is more to love and learning. So much more. We have a father who loves us and wants the best things for us. When times are hard, I know I can lean on my Savior and he will be there for me. I know that I have angels on my right hand and on my left to carry me and buoy me up when I don't feel I can make it on my own. I am never alone. I know that if my heart is ever troubled, or if things in life seem confusing, that I can pray to my father and I will be comforted and feel at peace. He has always been there for me. No matter what. I love my Savior. I love my Heavenly Father. I am continually grateful for the presence of the Holy Ghost in my life. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true church on the earth. Because of my beliefs, I am filled with joy.

How I live my faith

I attend all the meetings every Sunday, I do my best to meet with my ward Sunday evenings so we can pray together, I listen to the teachings of our church leaders when they speak to me, I thoroughly enjoy General Conference, pray often, fast on Fast Sunday and take every chance I can to attend the temple. There is such a quiet spirit felt in the temple that I cannot feel anywhere else and I'm especially blessed because there is a temple about 1/2 mile away from where I live. I am also a Sunday School teacher. I teach Gospel Doctrine and I love it. This year we are studying the Book of Mormon and it is wonderful. I am also the Relief Society Mission Leader in my ward. What that means is that I am the female representative to help people come unto Christ and have them feel welcome.
