Hi I'm Tabatha

I'm a happily married mother of 4 boys raising a uniquely blended family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been happily married for the past 10 years. I am a mother of 4 sons and at this time in my life I spend much of my time raising my family. I serve on the various boards and committees of all of their sports, school, and scouting activities. I love to learn new crafts. Recently I learned to make crocheted hats and I have made a goal to make 100 of them for babies in the Philippines. I am quite enthusiastic and energetic and I try to have that same attitude wherever I go and with whatever I do in life. Just in case you're thinking I'm just the stereotype of a typical housewife I absolutely love to do anything to get an adrenaline rush. I've gone skydiving, zip-lining, ridden ATVs, snowmobiles, and jet ski's. My idea of a hot date is dinner and go-kart racing with my husband.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the gospel. It was very hard for me. My family was unique, I was raised by my father. As a teen it was especially hard for me to look around at the other families who seemed perfect and I always felt like I didn't quite measure up. I had always known that the gospel was true, but I for some reason couldn't see how I fit into Heavenly Fathers plan. As I pondered I was able to see how God was practically everywhere in my life. He answered MY prayers. He sent ME blessings. I realized that eventhough I wasn't from the 'picture perfect' family and eventhough I wasn't 'perfect' that as I exercised my faith Heavenly Father was there. He loved ME. Once I truly realized how I was a daughter of God and how this made me worthy of all the blessings he has for us, I never wanted to lose that. Though I continue to make mistakes daily, I try every day to be a little better than I was the day before. I see God's hand in my life and in the life of my family everyday. I do not follow blindly. I KNOW He lives and answers prayers. I KNOW that he loves each and every one of his children and that he will bless us as we strive to follow His commandments.

How I live my faith

I spend much of my time in service these days. I currently serve as the den leader for the 8 and 9 year old cub scouts in our congregation. I also am in charge of planning and coordinating dances for teens between the ages of 14-18. I am on the committee for my sons' boy scout troop and I am currently signed up as a vollunteer merit badge counselor for 11 different badges. As a badge counselor I am able to help Boy Scouts reach the rank of Eagle. I help coordinate party's for my son's 2nd grade class. I serve in the middle school by helping the kids with book reports and such. All 4 of my son's wrestle so I serve on the board for 2 different wrestling teams. On the Wrestling teams I help plan and coordinate travel schedules and fundraisers. In addition I am on the board of a non-profit organization which raises money to help find a cure for childrens heart disease. As a family we also try to find ways to serve in the commmunity as often as possible. Most recently we participated in an activity to beautify some areas in our community by pulling weeds, planting flowers and shrubs, and spreading bark.
