Hi I'm Casey Wieben

I grew up in Arizona and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Arizona with my family of five sisters one brother ( good thing he was the oldest) and my mom and dad. One year ago next month I married my husband (best decision I ever made) in the Mesa Temple. Seven weeks ago (I know crazy fast) I gave birth to our daughter and it changed our lives forever. As a profession I am an Aesthetician its just something I've always been interested in. I enjoy Baking and trying new recipes, browsing pintrest, hanging out with my husband and my daughter, laughing, hanging out with friends and family, wake boarding and jet skiing (when I get a chance), trying new restaurants or going to old favorites, I enjoy thrillers and Disney movies or any old classics there's so many I love, sushi, shopping for clothes and shoes, cleaning and organizing, painting, reading (when I find a book that interests me). I enjoy the ocean and I love yoga! Now a days I enjoy a 10 min shower while my husband watches the baby.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Lds faith. I was blessed when I was born and I made the decision to be baptized at the age of eight. I was taught the basic principles of the gospel. first, Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; second, Repentance; third, Baptism by immersion for the remission of sins; fourth, Laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost. I grew up in a happy home. Yes we had our struggles but I was blessed with a mother that always prayed and read scriptures with us and instilled in me the importance of obedience even when its inconvenient. My father always taught us the importance of gaining a testimony of the Savior Jesus Christ for ourselves so that we could know the truth of everything else. I was immersed in the gospel with activities starting with primary to young girl achievements then mutual every Wednesday night as a youth. In Ninth grade I started seminary and continued through my senior year. Through seminary I gained a testimony of the Holy Ghost and the Book of Mormon. After I graduated high school my life took a different turn. I made decisions that brought unhappiness. For a long time I tried to make myself happy with things that were just temporary and in the end brought me more misery and away from that peace I used to feel when I was living how I knew I should. After many years of feeling lost I finally got down on my knees one Sunday and I started to cry. I just cried for several minutes. I had a testimony of prayer but at that time I didn't realize how the atonement of Jesus Christ was the key to having change in your life. I poured my heart out to Heavenly Father. I didn't hold anything back. I expressed my weakness and inability to make the changes necessary for my happiness and progression. I put it all in his hands. From that point I KNEW God hears and answers our prayers. I had experienced the sweetness of the atonement. I KNOW the gospel of Jesus Christ is true because I have experienced the bitterness and loneliness without it.

How I live my faith

I love my new ward we moved into after me and my husband got married and moved to our house. I just got called (with my husband) to serve in the primary as a teacher for the eight year olds. I am very excited! I am a visiting teacher to three sisters in my ward and visiting them each month and learning about them helps me create patterns of watch care. There are so many blessings in taking care of those around you. Its what the savior did when he was here and its what he would be doing if he were her now. Its his work.
